Complaints & Content Removal

Who this is for

Use this page if you want to complain about content on Goonwall or ask us to remove it. It covers:

• Content that depicts you, or someone you represent, without consent
• Content you believe depicts a person under 18
• Content that is illegal, or breaches our Terms of Service
• Content you believe was uploaded without the right to do so

Copyright complaints have their own route. If you are the rights holder in a work and want it taken down, use our DMCA page, which sets out what a valid notice must contain.

How to make a complaint

Email compliance@goonwall.com or use our contact form. Please include:

• The address (URL) of each item you are complaining about
• What the problem is, in your own words
• Your relationship to the content, if any — for example, that you are the person depicted
• An email address we can reply to

You do not need to use a particular form of words, and you do not need a lawyer.

What happens next — our 5-business-day commitment

• We acknowledge every complaint to the address you give us.
• We resolve complaints within 5 business days of receiving them. Resolving means we have either removed the content, or told you why we have not.
• If we need more information from you, we will ask — and the clock pauses until you reply.

Two categories are handled immediately, not within 5 days: any report that content depicts a person under 18, and any report of non-consensual content. Those are removed from public view as soon as we receive the report, and reviewed afterwards. We would rather remove something wrongly and restore it than leave it up while we deliberate.

If you are the person depicted

You can ask us to remove content that depicts you, whether or not you originally consented to it, and whether or not you uploaded it. Tell us which items and how we can tell it is you. We will not publish your identifying details, and we will not pass them to the uploader.

If we act on a complaint about your content

If we remove something you uploaded, we will tell you what was removed and why. You can reply to that message to dispute it, and a person will read it. Repeated or serious breaches can result in an account being suspended, as set out in our Terms of Service.
