Wiki/Sessions/The Session Wall

Your session Feed.

The Session Wall is a discovery feed that pulls whatever your session is about, letting you fill your session pool with relevant content.

What it’s for

Finding the perfect content for your session without browsing hassle.

Your session carries its own steering — categories, content type and performers. The Session Wall takes all of that and turns it into a browsing feed, so instead of searching from scratch you get a page that already leans the right way. Spot something you like, hover it and hit Pool to add it.

Find it on My Goonwall, or jump straight there with Open Session Wall at the bottom of the Session dropdown. The tab carries your session’s name and icon.

Session Filter Strength

How much of the wall has to obey your session.

Your session’s steering — categories, content type and performers — runs at every strength. The dial doesn’t switch filters on and off; it decides how much of the wall has to obey them. The percentage is exactly that: how much of what you see must match your session, and how much is room to roam.

Strict
100%
Every result on the wall matches your session. Nothing else gets in.
Strong
75%
Three quarters of the wall matches your session; the rest is fresh air.
Relaxed
50%
Half your session, half discovery.
Relaxing never lowers a barrier
Widening the wall is not the same as unblocking what you refused. Blocked tags and excluded performers are enforced at every tier — Strict, Strong and Relaxed alike — in both the on-session half and the discovery half. Turn the dial all the way down and your hard no’s still hold.
The other half is adjacent, not random
The off-session slice isn’t a lucky dip. It’s drawn from content that misses at least one of your dimensions — so a right-category, wrong-performer clip is exactly the kind of thing that surfaces. You drift sideways, not off a cliff.
A paused session filters nothing
Pause a session and the wall stops steering entirely — no tiers, no filters, just the open feed. Resume the session to bring your steering back.
Moving the dial
The dial defaults to Strict — the most focused setting, not a watered-down one, so a fresh wall is all session and nothing else. Loosen it to Strong or Relaxed when you want more around it. The preferences underneath are yours to edit too: change what the session is about from Add Configuration in the Sessions dropdown, and the wall re-tunes itself.
Where to find it
The strength control lives on the Session Wall itself — a circular dial marked Strict / Strong / Relaxed with your session’s emoji in the middle. Give it a turn and the feed recomposes on the spot.

FAQs

Where do I find the Session Wall?
It’s a tab on My Goonwall, and the quickest route is “Open Session Wall” at the bottom of the Session dropdown. The tab wears your session’s name and icon, so it’s easy to spot.
If I relax the dial, does blocked content come back?
No. Relaxing widens what the wall shows; it never lowers a barrier. Blocked tags and excluded performers are kept out at every tier, in both the on-session half and the discovery half. Widening what you see isn’t the same as unblocking what you refused.
Can I use the Session Wall on my phone?
Yes. Unlike the multi-slot player, the wall works fine on mobile, the strength dial included.
